Since entering the medical communications field in 2010, Sarah has worked with and managed scientific writing teams for multiple pre- and post-launch brands and therapeutic areas including immunology, cardiology, diabetes, neurology, mood disorders, pain and virology/vaccines. Sarah has provided scientific consultancy in publications, medical affairs and marketing.
Sarah has been an active member of the International Society of Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) the Medical Affairs Professions Society (MAPS) and the Healthcare Communications Association (HCA). She has a keen interest in data generation initiatives and optimal data visualization and is always looking for ways to integrate the creative into scientific communications and training materials.
Sarah has a BS in Brain and Cognitive Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received her PhD from Universität Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany, in collaboration with the Institute for Toxicology and Genetics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Karlsruhe, Germany. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Neurology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.
Currently, Sarah is expanding her knowledge of global mental health through a postgraduate certificate program at University of Glasgow. In parallel, Sarah is working on a collaborative initiative with independent filmmakers on a film portrayal of the burden of Alzheimer’s disease.
